BUT ToF-SARS analyzer for hydrogen detection
This equipment is capable to analyze elemental composition, especially concentration of hydrogen and some other light elements (C, O) with high sensitivity below one atomic monolayer. The equipment consist of an ion source, an UHV manipulator with a sample, a detector of scattered and recoiled atoms and a source of atomic Hydrogen. Hydrogen atoms presented in the sample are recoiled by Ne ions and fly towards the detector in the drift tube. Its energy is analyzed using its time of flight. Atomic source of Hydrogen can be used for the controlled deposition of hydrogen on a sample.
