Probes for scanning near-field optical microscopy

Probes are made of an optical fiber with an HF etched tip. The input aperture for detection of the electromagnetic near-field is prepared using focused ion beam with high precision. The fiber is attached to the resonant tuning fork and used as the probe for a commercial SNOM microscope NT-MDT.
